| Abstract | U ovoj su disertaciji predstavljeni rezultati istraživanja trlje od blata, Mullus barbatus (Linnaeus, 1758) i trlje od kamena, Mullus surmuletus (Linnaeus, 1758) kao indikatora staništa, ribolovnog pritiska, promjena u staništima te promjena temperature mora, odnosno klimatskih promjena. Na osnovi prikupljenih podataka je vidljivo da su vrste M. barbatus i M. surmuletus široko rasprostranjene na čitavom istraživanom području i u svim dubinskim pojasevima, a posljednjih je godina uočen pozitivan trend učestalosti pojavljivanja, brojnosti i biomase obiju vrsta, koji je u M. surmuletus u pozitivnoj korelaciji u odnosu na srednje vrijednosti površinske temperature mora za srednji Jadran. Vrijednost ribolovne smrtnosti (F M. barbatus = 0,783; F M. surmuletus = 0,987) su veće od vrijednosti prirodne smrtnosti (M M. barbatus = 0,517; M M. surmuletus = 0,728) kod obje vrste. Prema dobivenim vrijednostima stope rasta K (K M. barbatus = 0,33 ± 0,01; K M. surmuletus = 0,376 ± 0,012) proizlazi da M. surmuletus raste brže od M. barbatus te da je rast ženki obje vrste nešto brži od rasta mužjaka. Ukupna dužina tijela ulovljenih i analiziranih jedinki M. barbatus je bila u rasponu od 8,1 do 22,0 cm (14,37 ± 2,402 cm), dok je raspon ukupne dužine tijela M. surmuletus bio veći nego kod M. barbatus i kolebao je od 6,4 do 34,3 cm (17,29 ± 8,595 cm). Srednje vrijednosti ukupne dužine tijela ženki M. barbatus (15,30 ± 2,348 cm) i M. surmuletus (19,09 ± 4,585 cm) su bile statistički značajno veće od srednjih vrijednosti ukupne dužine tijela mužjaka M. barbatus (13,46 ± 2,051 cm) i M. surmuletus (16,82 ± 3,619 cm). Omjer ženki i mužjaka unutar populacije M. barbatus u ovom istraživanju je približno jednak očekivanom idealnom omjeru (1:1), dok je u M. surmuletus uočen pomak omjera spolova u korist mužjaka (1:0,71). Najstarije ženke su imale 5 godina, a najstariji mužjaci 4 godine, kako kod M. barbatus, tako i kod M. surmuletus. U ukupnom uzorku obiju vrsta su najzastupljenije jedinke starosti 1 i 2 godine. M. barbatus se mrijesti od svibnja do srpnja, a M. surmuletus od svibnja do lipnja. Prijelaz iz nezrelog stadija u stadij sazrijevanja je zabilježen pri ukupnoj dužini tijela od 10 cm za ženke i 11 cm za mužjake M. barbatus, za razliku od M. surmuletus kod koje mužjaci spolno sazrijevaju pri dužini tijela od 11 cm, a ženke pri ukupnoj dužini tijela od 12 cm. U probavnom su traktu trlje od kamena u 63 od 203 ispitana probavila pored očekivanog plijena (39 vrsta plijena svrstanih u 11 sistematskih grupa) pronađeni ostaci mikroplastike. Najniže vrijednosti i najmanja učestalost ingestirajućih plastičnih niti su pronađene u siječnju i u nižim dužinskim razredima. ( |
| Abstract (english) | This dissertation presents the results of a study of Red mullet, Mullus barbatus (Linneaus, 1758) and Striped red mullet, Mullus surmuletus (Linneaus, 1758) as indicators of habitat, fishing pressure, changes in habitats and changes in sea temperature and climate change. Based on the data collected, it is evident that M. barbatus and M. surmuletus species are widespread throughout the study area and in all depth zones, and in recent years a positive trend in the incidence, abundance and biomass of both species has been observed, which for M. surmuletus is in positive correlation with the mean sea surface temperature values for the middle Adriatic. The fishing mortality values (F M. barbatus = 0.783; F M. surmuletus = 0.987) are higher than the natural mortality values (M M. barbatus = 0.517; M M. surmuletus = 0.728) in both species. Values of growth rate K (K M. barbatus = 0.33 ± 0.01; K M. surmuletus = 0.376 ± 0.012) show that M. surmuletus grows faster than M. barbatus and females of both species grows slightly faster than males. The total body length of captured and analyzed M. barbatus individuals ranged from 8.1 to 22.0 cm (14.37 ± 2.402 cm), while the total body lenght of M. surmuletus was larger and oscilated from 6.4 to 34.3 (17.29 ± 8.595 cm). Mean values of total body length of females M. barbatus (15.30 ± 2.348 cm) and M. surmuletus (19.09 ± 4.585 cm) were statistically significantly higher than mean values of total body lengths of males M. barbatus (13.46 ± 2.051 cm) and M. surmuletus (16.82 ± 3.619 cm). The ratio of females and males within the population of M. barbatus in this study is approximately equal to the expected ideal ratio (1:1), while a shift in the sex ratio in favor of males (1:0.71) was observed in M. surmuletus. The oldest females were 5 years old and the oldest males were 4 years old, both in M. barbatus and M. surmuletus. In the total sample of both species, the most prevalent individuals are ages 1 and 2. Mullus barbatus spawn from May to July and M. surmuletus from April to May. The transition from the immature stage to the maturation stage was observed at total body lenght of 10 cm for females and 11 cm for males M barbatus, and at total body lenght of 11 cm for females and total body lenght of 12 cm for males M. surmuletus. In addition to the expected prey (39 prey species classified into 11 sistematic groups) in the digestive tract of M. surmuletus traces of microplastics were found in 63 out of 203 examined digestive organs. The lowest values and the lowest frequency of ingestive plastic threads were found in January and in the lower length classes. |
